About This Programme
Day to day challenges of life – from long working hours to unexpected events, relationship problems, physical illnesses and financial pressures, among other things, can all affect our mental wellbeing. With the ongoing uncertainty of Covid, these challenges have got harder for us, our whānau, friends, community, nation and globally. To take care of yourself, and be able to help others, one of the best things you can do is talk.
Programme Content
The workshop presents a range of useful tools to help you:
- Recognise the signs and symptoms of stress and common mental health problems.
- Build the confidence and skills to talk to someone when you’re concerned about them.
- Know how to guide them toward appropriate support available.
- It also helps you learn about practical things you can do in your day to day life to protect and improve your mental health, and the mental health of those around you.
